Reading thru the new plans/pricing revealed that my current plan gets an additional 15gb. My ex-housemate would’ve been ecstatic bout this. Poor dude has his net capped already with 3 more weeks to go.

The quota increase will take effect 1st of April, regardless of your rollover date. Ironically, it’s the same day when Left Handed Whoppers were introduced 10 years ago.

And now, gotta find a way to waste my 30+gb quota in 2 weeks.

Is Dell leaning towards a sexier tomorrow?

3 years ago, I would’ve just skipped over pictures of Dell products. They looked ugly as hell. Their laptops looked like a chopping board (no, seriously).

The only Dell products I’ve ever owned was a Dell Axim x30 pda (ebayed coz I never really needed a pda) and a Dell 20 inch widescreen monitor, which was the cheapest S-IPS a.k.a 8-bit LCD screen back then.

Fast forward to present. Most of their products still look ugly (just being honest), however there are some very well designed products that were released during the last 6 months. Namely the XPS M1330 pictured below:

Sexy eh? It’s like a cheapo version of a Sony Vaio.

Also, the XPS M1530:

Then, you have the Dell Crystal LCD Panel:

Looks cool, but IMO this monitor is kinda overrated for its price ($1199). Also, the design is not really my taste… but it’s still sexy!

And…. wait.. what? Another sexy product from Dell?

Well, what I’ve got here is a leaked picture of an upcoming Dell Latitude E-series laptop.

Wow, now that’s what I call sexy. Is it built with brushed aluminium? That would be awesome. So far the only info as reported by Engadget:

“So far we know there will be a 4.25 pound / 14.1-inch and 5 pound / 15.4-inch version, both with WXGA and WXGA+ LED backlit displays, as well as a 12-inch (pictured above) and 13.3-inch version for road warrior types. Expect DisplayPort, eSATA, plenty of USB ports, and PC or ExpressCard slots in the larger models.”

Was surfing HardOCP and then I saw this….

OMFG! I think I just came all over. Imagine the endless possibilities if you’ve got one of this.

Free and Legal Music Downloads!?

While surfing Digg I stumble upon something really interesting. The digg entry is titled “From today, feel free to download all the music in the world“. What!? You gotta be f**king kidding me, mate. It’s just too good to be true. I’m not surprised a large number of digg users reports the story as inaccurate.

After reading taking a quick glance at the article. I’ve found out that the company offering the free downloads is Qtrax.

“With CD sales in free fall and legal downloads yet to fill the gap, the music industry has reluctantly embraced the file-sharing technology that threatened to destroy it. Qtrax, a digital service announced today, promises a catalogue of more than 25 million songs that users can download to keep, free and with no limit on the number of tracks.”

Looking at their website, the first thing that caught my attention is this:

Where is the “No E-mail from RIAA” entry? When I was about to look for the download link, I was cock-blocked by this:

I guess we’ll find out at MIDNIGHT EST eh? whenever that actually is.

The application that they are using is [not so popular] Mozilla Songbird (but I guess now it’s gonna get a bigger slice of the pie eh?)

Wow, just wow. Featured artist is FOO FIGHTERS? And I can even see Alicia Keys down there.

So, what are your thoughts on this before we hit MIDNIGHT EST!? Scam or not. Personally, I think even if it turns out to be real, there will be 8072387282 catches. Music non-transferable/non-playable by other players, not iPod compatible (unless they make the album art for each song an ad LOL)- you name them.
